"No" to Single Use Plastic

Posted By: Dorothea Times Read: 1009 Comments: 1

Single use plastics, or disposable plastics are very harmful not only for the environment, but also for us, Petroleum based plastic is not biodegradable and usually gets into a landfill where it is buried or it gets into the water and finds it's way into the ocean. Out of the roughly 300 million tons of plastic produced each year, world-wide only 10-13% of plastic items are recycled. That is why we say NO to single use plastic and try to find more sustainable alternatives.

So what have done?

We have replaced bubble wrap with Hexcel wrapping paper. For more information on this amazing initiative visit Hexcel or view the clip below

We now seal our boxes with paper tape instead of plastic.

We use biodegradable shrink wrap for our pallets.

We have stopped using plastic bags and our carrier bags are now made from paper and can be recycled.

We also up-cycle our cordial bottles and jars and use them as glasses and bowls in our tastings.

But we don't plan on stopping here, so stay tuned to find out what other changes we are preparing!
